BREAD BOWLS
Directions / Notes
Find small oven safe glass bowl. Coat outside with non-stick tin foil or parchment paper.
Take one large handful of dough or four triangles of pillsbury crescent dough and form bowl over outside of bowl.
Trim off excess.
Bake at 350 for 20 minutes or until just browned.
Serve with soup, salad, pasta.
Make Your Own Bread
You can make your own dough by hand or in the bread maker. Here's the recipe I like.
- 1 C water
- 3 14 C bread flour
- 2 T butter (melted if doing by hand)
- 1 egg
- 1/4 c sugar
- 1 t salt
- 1 T yeast
Combine all ingredients in a bread maker and set on dough cycle.
Or combine luke warm water and yeast, stir, add 1 egg, scrambled, and melted butter.
In separate bowl combine everything else, stir
Add water and egg mixture until combined.
Knead for 10 minutes until elastic and smooth. Add more flour if too sticky.
Place back in bowl and let it rise for 30 minutes.
